Chinese Emperor’s Antique Throne Screens

Chinese Emperor’s Antique Throne Screens: Being decorative funitures, screens were predominantly placed in the Chinese culture behind every Emperor’s throne. Majorly they are furniture covered with battle patterns mainly of silk which serve as the emperor’s power.

However, this has changed with continued development and screens have become ordinary wares in people’s houses as a main element of interior decoration. Screens made for the palaces and all other noble places were manufactured using very fine materials and unique craftsmanship. Materials could be enamel, jadeite, silver or gold which were used in tasseled work. Screen contents such as achievements, landscapes and emperors images were used for future references.
