A sculptor of Jane Poupelet!

One measures share of humanity of Jane Poupelet, an artist sculptor born in the Dordogne in 1874 and disappeared in interval of wars in 1932, while following his advance artistic techniques led him away from “traditional sculpture”, noticed in his time by Rodin, with his implication for charitable works which leads it to create toys out of wooden or metal before being invested in the modeling of masks for mutilated face, under the aegis of the American Red Cross.
The emotion emanates from a sculpture that the artist was very close to the human passion that it feels in him those deaf people’s vibrations that oscillate between pure happiness to the infinite suffering.
Jane Poupelet is an artist who was forgotten in his time and rediscovered today, in particular thanks to the museum of Roubaix which presented a splendid exposure of his artistic creativity in the form of sculptures in 2005 that one can still discover him.

Expensive violins

In the case that the instrument was authentic, a violin of these characteristics can surpass the value of 120,000 Euros, in the case of a Stradivarius instrument also costs 600,000 Euros, according to the state of conservation and origin.
While reading these lines, the possessor of an instrument of these characteristics feels invaded by a euphoria. But the other face of the currency is that the probability of finding a Stradivarius or a Niccolo Amati is really very low. Most probable it is than these people are possessing of an instrument that was a later copy, which became in Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Germany from the beginnings of 21st century.
Although these instruments do not reach values of 200,000 Euros, in the case that these copies were done well-known manufacturers and being an instrument of good musical quality, if they can obtain interesting values (on 1000 or 2000 Euros in some cases). The antiquity also is one of the important factors in the violins since like general rule; an older violin is generally more valuable that a more contemporary violin, as long as it is of the same manufacturer and in very good state of conservation.
Nevertheless, besides Antonio Stradivarius and Niccolo Amati (the two manufactures during last two centuries), exist more than 30 manufactures of violins whose instruments not only enjoy very good reputation in the world-wide market but they are manufacturing instruments whose values of market can surpass the 18,000 Euros easily.
If I were with one of these instruments first that would do, it would be to spend the money and to look for a skillful judicial value to me to obtain an authenticity certificate.

4th July:A commemorative postcard

This postcard was sent in 1913; the date appears in the back.
It is marked “printed in Saxony”. This heading of July 4 symbolizes the celebration of national festival of the United States of America.
Many events is celebrated by birthday charts; the national festival of a country, like here the United States, but also for the birth of a man celebrates like Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the Father's Day, the Mother's Day,…
The occasions do not miss… and the chart of birthday is a friendly way of doing a small sign with the other, to point out its friendship, its tenderness, its solidarity, its love for its citizens. The postcard can also commemorate the birthday of a catastrophe, like that of the Mines of Courrières in 1906.

Elegant fireplace frames

Some fireplace frames can also be selected to be derived from their first use, for example, it is not uncommon and I think it's very original and practical to transform this framework into planning the location of the small library at home, you Just set a series of shelves and voila!
Most beautiful effect is to combining functionality and flavor with past
Inside, all combine to create a mood, a style reflecting a time while responding to practical use and when you are antique, you like to accompany your clients throughout their research. Mostly applied now, the stack frames.
First, for typical use, i.e. welcome home to a fireplace in the past has been abandoned (modernity requires) or to create an example, in a contemporary house in which you want to give a certain atmosphere, reflection of an era. There are all styles (Gothic, fourteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth, eighteenth or more contemporary) in all types of materials (marble, wood, stone, brick....) and thus lower prices or lower.

Old Floating fisherman lamp

That lamp really special because it has unique float with galvanized iron as it was designed to float.
I had a fisherman's son, he was the last and yet he remembers that at one time, his father used this lamp and he was not alone!
He was fishing for mackerel. When the drift net was thrown into the sea, the floating oil lamps were then set to allow the fisherman to find his net.
The upper part with the globe stands as seen in this photo, the first tank by red fuel contains a knob for adjusting the intensity of the flame. In the lower part, its galvanized iron floats.

If former fishermen who used these lamps are reading this little article, I thank them in advance to make their comment.
These small precious objects of everyday life have their place in a museum, I am happy to contribute a little to safeguard them.

American chairs!

You know those office chairs whose seat is mounted on a central screw system that allows raising or lowering the seat height. They are called "American chairs.
Today, everyone has become bureaucratic and what model of swivel chair on a central axis, it creates many models of "executive chair" today mounted on pneumatic cylinders and feet on casters.

But it is true that these chairs former U.S. retain a peculiar charm, and they remind us of this great era of the early twentieth century when the industrialization of our Western countries has changed our habits and behaviors, they can be classified as “business furniture”.
Under the seat a mechanism is built around a central screw.
Others have been created for specific uses: chairs by painters, musicians, hairdresser and dentist etc...
They are manufactured in smaller numbers, they are rarer.
All large factories have created their designs and quality of their manufacturing because they represent the honor and heritage through the decades.

Antique Furniture Sources Tips and Concepts

Antique Furniture Sources Tips and Concepts: Antiques could be of many alternative kinds and of all the antique collectibles and furniture turns out to be the most liked and practical choice. Antique furniture is distinct from other classes of antiques in the way that no-one collects the same sort of object often.

It indicates that you would not want to buy and collect only tables or chests and fill up your home with everything the same. You'll have a specific liking to certain wood or style. Without reference to your preference, if you are planning to get antique furniture, you've got to know the fundamentals.

To paraphrase, you have to have some idea about numerous styles, methods of construction, finishes and range of woods used. You will need this info to work out if a particular piece is original or modified, when you are acquainted with the basics, go to as many antique furniture dealers and auctions as you most likely can. When checking the product, don't hesitate in pulling out drawers, getting down on your knees to have a look at the base of tabletops or lifting chairs to have a look at their legs. If you don't get down and mucky, you may never learn.

At the start, furniture was made of solid wood but with improvement in cupboard making systems, furniture decoration by applying veneers was developed. This provided an inexpensive methodology of making decorative effects from different grains and patterns.

It was also a cheap system that made inexpensive woods look like dear hard woods. Such furniture had a solid body called a body that is made of a different, often cheaper wood, like pine. The following features are important when determining the age, prudence, quality and worth or value of antique furniture. Color and Patina: Patina is the glow of the wood after many years of accumulation of wax polish and dust.

Construction is important: Before the late 17th century, furniture was made using mortise and tendon joints and pegs were home made. IV Condition : don't ignore pieces with marks or marks as the wood has not been damaged. A good restorer can undo surface spots. Antique Furniture in it original spotless condition is truly worth the highest cost. V adjustments : modified furniture is always less fascinating than the 1st piece. Showing changes include giant pieces reduced in size, freshly cut surfaces, plugged holes, repositioned handles and so on.

Now you know what to look for, the problem's where to go looking for antique furniture? Well, apart from auctions and dealers, you can always check the classified advertisements section in the paper to work out if anyone's selling furniture and go look at it. We hope this articles helps you locate quality antique furniture.
